Help with your account, your browser extension, and getting BG Assurance working where you write.

To help us investigate, include your browser and operating system versions, the extension version, which site you are using, and the steps that led to the problem. You can include a screenshot with personal information removed.

Please do not send passwords, access tokens, payment-card details, or confidential prompts and files. A short, anonymised example is usually enough.

Set up the Safari extension

Once you have installed the BG Assurance Safari app from the App Store or TestFlight:

  1. Enable the extension. On Mac, open Safari → Settings → Extensions and enable BG Assurance. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions, then enable BG Assurance. On older versions of iOS, Safari is directly in Settings.
  2. Allow website access. Grant access to the supported sites you want to use: chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com.
  3. Sign in to BG. Open the extension from Safari’s toolbar or extensions menu. Read the prompt-sync notice and sign in with your BG account. Allow access to the BG website if Safari asks.
  4. Refresh an open chat. Open a supported chat page and type a draft. Scoring and account analytics start on enabled sites.

The extension works on the providers’ websites in Safari. It does not run inside the native ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini apps. Availability on Mac, iPhone, and iPad depends on the release you installed.

The score is not appearing

  • Check that you are signed in to BG in the extension popup and that the switch for the current site is on.
  • Check Safari’s extension website permissions. Allow access to the site where you are drafting.
  • Refresh tabs that were open before installation or an extension update.
  • Try an ordinary new chat or conversation. Editors, settings screens, and unsupported page layouts may not show the indicator.
  • Update your browser and extension. If the problem continues, email support with the site name and browser version.

Scores are advisory. They assess the current draft and cannot guarantee that a prompt or an AI response is accurate, safe, or suitable for every situation.

Account access and billing

Use Sign in to access an existing account, or reset your password if you have forgotten it. For an organisation-provided account, contact your administrator if you need access.

For billing or subscription questions, email contact@litebyte.co.uk using your account email address. Include a receipt or invoice reference if available, with sensitive payment information removed.

The usage totals shown in the extension relate to BG-hosted services. They do not show your ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini subscription allowance.

Reviewing files

In the expanded BG card, choose Upload files to request a review. This sends the selected files and the current draft to BG Assurance and OpenAI for sharing-risk and relevance feedback. Review files only if you are permitted to share them with these services.

You can select up to five files, each no larger than 10 MB. If a review fails, check your connection, sign-in, file size, and account allowance, then retry. Contact support if it still fails.

Reviewing a file does not attach it to the host chat. You decide whether to send it afterwards. Files already attached to a provider’s chat are not checked automatically.

Privacy, data access, and deletion

Read the privacy policy for details of local scoring, automatic prompt sync, and the services that process your information.

Pause a site in the extension popup or sign out to stop future scoring and sync. This does not delete prompt records already saved to your BG account.

To delete your account yourself, open the signed-in extension, choose Delete account, type DELETE, and select Delete permanently. Your saved BG data is deleted and any BG subscription ends immediately. This cannot be undone.
